Smiths Empire - 5 Jewel
Smiths are a well known brand, and although the Astral, Everest and other well known models are more sought after, this poor little thing just needed a little loving. Fully restoration from scrap to mint, serviced and casing restored to nearly new.
I rarely repair or restore quartz watches but this piece was very unusual in design i simply could not let her go into the bin. Im not really into street brand watches but this watch kind of reminded me of certain vintage Tissot watches, or more specifically the strap did. Whilst it did not fit my wrist as comfortably as id have liked it was a nice watch. Casing & strap overhauled , new glass, new battery, replaced stem.
Jaeger LeCoutre - 467-2
Jaeger-LeCoultre Calibre 467-2 - G.S.T.P - RAF - Pocket Watch
This has long been a favourite of mine, simple, accurate , and designed for purpose. This particular watch was in very good cosmetic shape ( dials are usually badly crazed ), with some unfortunate damage to its mechanism. Now restored and in the hands of a collector, this was a personal favourite.
